Samoa in the West

There are two Samoas, separated by their colonial history. There is Samoa I Sisifo (Samoa in the West) and Samoa I Sasa’e (Samoa in the East).

Today, these two groups are just known as Samoa (an independent Commonwealth nation) and American Samoa (a U.S. territory).
